A. Johns and B. D. Whitten and this shall be your sufficient authority for so doing. Given under my hand and seal this 7 day of Feby A.D. 1882-L. E. Hamlin, Judge of Probate. The above named parties were married by me at Benjamin Oliver's on the 9 day of Feby A.D. 1882-T. G. Cofield The State of Alabama, Etowah County Know all Men by these Presents, That we, W. A. Johns and B. F. Oliver are held and firmly bound unto the State of Alabama in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars, to the which payment, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 7 day of Feby 1882. The Condition of the above obligation is such, that if there be no legal cause to obstruct the Marriage of W. A. Johns and B. D. Whitten to whom a License has this day been granted, then to be void; else to remain in full force and virtue. Witness our hands and seals the day and year above written. W. A. Johns, [L. S.] B. F.
