Kincannon (?) deed to John Fowler. Filed for record the 6th of February 1863, of which the following is a true copy to-wit. Know all men by these presents that George W. Kincannon and his wife Charity Kincannon of the first part and John Fowler of the second part, that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and forty dollars ($240.00) to him in hand paid by the party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath this day bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell a certain tract or parcel of land (to-wit): the S 1/2 of the NW 1/4, Section 4, and the E 1/4 of the NE 1/4, Section 5, Range 13, in Fayette County and State of Alabama to have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land to him and his heirs, executors and administrators forever with the appurtances thereunto belonging and every thing appurtaining thereunto to the said parcel or tract of land aforesaid to the party of the second part. The party of the first part relinquishing all their right, title and claim to the aforesaid tract or parcel of land (next word illegible), to them, their heirs, executors and administrators, forever and vesting (?) in the party of the second part, their heirs, executors and administrators forever, a fee simple title to have and to hold against all claims coming from the party of the second part, their heirs, executors or administrator or any other source binding, (next word illegible), our heirs, executors and administrators, to warrant and forever defend said title against any claim or claims that may hereafter arise. Kincannon and Charity Kincannon, his wife, whose names are signed to the foregoing conveyance, and who are known to me, acknowledged before me on this day they executed the same voluntarily on the day the same bears date.
