W. A. Musgrove We are pained to learn that W. A. Musgrove, Esq., is no more. He had been in declining health for some time. Last Wednesday evening at his home, fourteen miles north of this place, his soul took its flight from his body, which was buried in the family cemetery at Piney Grove church on Thursday, Rev. Robert Wilson performing the funeral exercises. The deceased was a bright light in the M. E. Church, South, and a citizen of prominence in Fayette county, the people of which delighted to honor him, and many will rise up and call him blessed. In the death of Col. William A. Musgrove, Piney Grove church has lost one of its best members, his wife a devoted husband, the children an affectionate father, and Fayette county one of her truest and most useful citizens. The Banner joins many friends in sympathy with the sorrowing family who have suffered this irreparable loss. Additional Comments: Born 21 Sept. 1821, Fayette Co. AL. Son of John Tilden Musgrove and Susannah Thompson. Served in the Alabama House and Senate beginning in 1853. Buried at Musgrove Chapel UMC, Fayette Co. AL.
