Mr. IRA POPE died at his home at Ballard, Fayette County, on Saturday 25th day 
of November, of paralysis.  He had a large circle of friends and relatives in 
this county, who will regret to learn of his demise.  He was a good man, 
universally liked and respected.  The paralytic stroke occurred on the 81st 
anniversary of his birthday, and his death followed the next day. He had been 
partially paralyzed for the past four years.
