Most Casualties Come From Pacific Area
              
Washington, September 10, 1943

The War Department has made the names of 208 United States Soldiers 
killed in Action.  The announcement includes casualties in the Asiatic, 
Eurpean, Middle Eastern, North African, Pacific and Southwest areas. 
The names listed in North African Area include casualty reports received 
from operations in Sicily. North African area:


Blake, PVT. Thomas J- Mrs. Grace G. Blake mother, Montgomery.

Nix, 1st LT Jack W- Mrs. Minnie L. Nix, Clayton.

Sims, PVT. Joseph T. Jr.-Joseph T. Sims Father, Alpine. Pacific area:

Thacker, PVT. Warren G.-James Thacker father, Good Springs. 
     Southwest Pacific area:

Moore, PVT. Erin T.-Mrs. Willie C. Moore, wife, Hillsboro.

Roden, PVT. Calvin W.-Mrs. Laura C. Roden mother, Delmar. 

South, Tech 5th Gr. John R.-Mrs. Nina South mother, Fayette.
