The Cemetery is on the left in a wooded area. There is evidence of about 30 graves in this cemetery. The following are the marked graves. I have transcribed this from a survey done in 1982. - Gene Thorn Burgess, Agnes Partain, d. 16 Jun 1838, w/o William Burgess Burgess, Maria I., b. 20 Jan 1888, d. at 39 years, w/o Andie Burgess, member of the Baptist Church Burgess, Thomas, b. 25 Dec 1822, d. 10 Apr 1882, erected to his memory by his children Burgess, William, b. 1742, d. 5 Oct. 1838, Soldier in the War of the Revolution. Enlisted from Edenton District North Carolina, Licensed as a local preacher in Methodist Episcopal Church 14 Sep 1792 McCulloch, Armstead, d. 30 May 1902, about 87 years, A good man called to his reward McCulloch, Hennie, d. 25 Jan 1888, about 68 years, w/o Armstead McCulloch, Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God Tompkins, William Wesley, b. Feb 1875, d. age 5 months, s/o H. & M. J. Tompkins, asleep in Jesus Tompkins, Willie Adaline, b. 26 Jan 1877, d. 4 Aug. 1902, d/o H. & M. J. Tompkins, member of the Missionary Baptist Church for 7 years
