The residence of Mr. James Whittaker of Geneva county, was entered one night
last week by a couple of men in disguise and robbed of something near four
thousand dollars.  Mrs. Whittaker, daughter and son-in-law were in the house at
the time, but the robbers being armed they made not resistance whatever. 
Suspicion resting upon Mr. Dan Beasley of Geneva, he was arrested and on a
preliminary hearing he proved an alibi and was promptly discharged.  The loss is
a heavy one to Mr. Whittaker who was not at home at the time of the robbery.
