Fowler ==================================================================== March 1999 Obit of Lindsay Hope McGowan - Geneva Co., AL The Dothan Eagle, Monday, June 2, 1997 Lindsay Hope McGowan Lindsay Hope McGowan, 10, of Route 1, Box 409, Hartford, died Sunday, May 31, 1997, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. Services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 1997, at 2 p.m., in St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Hartford with the Revs. Ernest Andress and John Belcher officiating. Burial will be in the Hartford City cemetery with Bottoms Garden Funeral Home of Hartford directing. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford. Miss McGowan will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Survivors include her parents, David and Shirley McGowan, Hartford; maternal grandparents, Berman and Virginia Cheshire, Hartford; paternal grandparents, Franklin and Mattie Lou McGowan, Geneva; several uncles, aunts, and other relatives. Lindsay had just completed the fourth grade at Geneva County Elementary School in Hartford. She was a Pee Wee cheerleader and an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Active pallbearers will be Dale Willingham, Michael Hawthorne, Jim Bixby, Ricky Tucker, Hubert Crawford and Buddy Orr. Honorary pallbearers will be fourth grade classmates, teachers and administration of Geneva County Elementary School and members of the Pee Wee Cheerleading Squad.
