Bennett on November 22, 2001. Arlie Earl "Pete" Peters, is Lovette's father and son of David Edward and Ida Lavonia (Lanton) Peters. Pete was born on 27 July 1905 in Samsom, Geneva Co., AL. and died 11 June 1962 in Montgomery, AL. On 23 Sep 1943 when Pete was 38, he married Rubye Virginia Chapman. =============================================== ALABAMA JOURNAL June 13, 1962 ----------------------- PETERS, Arlie Earl, 57, a resident of 634 robinson hill Rd. and of Montgomery for 20 years, died in a local hospital Monday at at 3:30 a.m. after a brief illness. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Rubye Chapman Peters, Montgomery: two sons, David and Donald Peters, both of Miami, Fla.: four daughters Mrs. Robert Morbach, Miami, Fla., Miss Lovette Peters, Miss Yvonne Peters and Miss Jaunita Peters, all of Montgomery; seven Brothers, W. R. Peters, Florala, S. L. Peters, Savannah Ga., H. M. Peters, Denver, Colo.; J. D. Peters, C. B. Peters, W. L. Peters and H. R. Peters, all of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Mae White, Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Olga Houston, St. Petersburg, Fla. Funeral services were held at Leak Memory Chapel today at 10 a.m. with Dr. Rex Turner and Minister Curtis Cates officiating. Burial was in Stoney Point Cemetery on the Birmingham Highway. Pallbearers were elders and deacons of the Panama Street Church of Christ. ===============================================
