Reeves, 69, of 609 N. Sunflower Street, died Tuesday night, December 25, 1990, in a Dothan hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today at West Side United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carl Herndon officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Bottoms-Garden Chapel of Geneva directing. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to service time. Mr. Reeves served 12 years as a councilman, served many years as captain of the Geneva Rescue Squad, served on the EMS Council, and was a founding charter member of MAST and was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ann Reeves of Geneva; one son and daughter-in-law, Donnie Roy and Cyndia Reeves, Bellwood; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jimmy L. Barker, Geneva; one brother, Watha Reeves, Dade City, Florida; six sisters, Mattie Lou McGowan, Irene Foxworth, both of Geneva; Bessie Ruth Whittle, Downey, California, Sue McDuffy, Dade City, Florida, Gladys Owens, Samson, Alabama, Sybil Fowler, Wicksburg, Alabama; three grandchildren, Scott Reeves, Angelique Reeves and Michel Barker.
