D. 1916 by and between Ed. D. Harrison and Sammie Harrison his wife of the County and State aforesaid, parties of the first part, and George M. Foreman, party of the second part. Witnesseth: That, whereas the said Ed. D. Harrison of the first part, is justly and lawfully indebted to the party of the second part in the principal sum of Thirteen Hundred ($1,300.00) Dollars in gold coin of the United States, of the present standard of weight and fineness, or its equivalent in United States currency, as is evidenced by principal promissory notes, bearing even date with this instrument, made by the part and payable to the order of the second party, and which are for the sums, and payable, respectively, as follows: $100.00 payable November 1, 1916 (also on November 1 for these years 1917, 1918, 1919, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923 and 1924) $400.00 payable November 1, 1925 all of which notes bear interest at the rate of 7 1/2 per cent per annum, payable annually, as evidenced by Ten (10) interest notes of even date herewith made by the party of the first part, payable to the order of the party of the second part, said interest notes being, respectively, as follows: $49.02 payable November 1, 1916 $90.00 payable November 1, 1917 $82.50 payable November 1, 1918 $75.00 payable November 1, 1919 $67.50 payable November 1, 1920 $60.00 payable November 1, 1921 $52.50 payable November 1, 1922 $45.00 payable November 1, 1923 $37.50 payable November 1, 1294 $30.00 payable November 1, 1925 each of said principal and said interest notes being payable at the office of George M. Foreman and Company in the City of Chicago, State of Illinois. And, whereas, said party or parties of the first part desire to secure said indebtedness, principal and interest, as the said obligations respectively, fall due: Now therefore, in consideration of the premises, and of one dollar ($1.00) to him, her, or them in hand paid, the party or parties of the first part have granted, bargained, and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey to the party of the second part, and assigns, the following described real estate, situated and lying in the County of Houston and State of Alabama, to-wit: The S 1/2 of the NE 1/4 and the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 18, Township 3 N Range 25 East containing 120 acres, more or less, and bounded on the north by Bob Lee, on the east by Alford Jones and John Thomas; on the south by B. Warren; and on the west by Tom Fowler and Mrs. Mittie Howard, and being the lands on which we now reside. The mortgage paid in full and hereby satisfied and discharged. This 3rd day of December 1925.
