Snell State of Alabama Houston County KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that whereas, I, T. C. Lee, was on the 28 day of August 1905 duly appointed by the Probate Court of Houston County, Alabama, as commissioner to make sale in accordance with a decree therein rendered, and to execute titles to the purchase thereof the following lands belonging to the estate of Henry Jones, deceased, to-wit: that portion of Section 26, Township 3, Range 25, lying south of the little Choctawhatchie River, except the southwest quarter of said Section, Township and Range; and whereas on the 2nd day of October 1905, said lands were sold at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash within the legal hours of sale in conformity to said decree and order of sale, and thereat D. A. Snell was the last, highest, and best bidder therefore, and as such became the purchaser thereof at the price of seven hundred and fifty Dollars ($750.00) and whereas on this date the said Court has made and entered an order confirming said sale and directing and empowering the undersigned as commissioner to make and execute and deliver the titles to said lands to the said D. A. Snell: Now therefore, I, T. C. Lee, as such commissioner, for and in the consideration of seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750.00) to me in hand paid by D. A. Snell, the receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge, do hereby bargain, sell and convey to the said D. A. Snell, his heirs and assigns the following described lands, to-wit: All that portion of Section 6, Township 3, Range 25, lying south of little Choctawhatchie River, except the southwest quarter of said Section, township and range, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less, all in Houston County, Alabama. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the to the said D. A. Snell, his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this the 12th day of October 1905. T. C. Lee Commissioner State of Alabama Houston County I, George Leslie, Judge of Probate, in and for the County in said State, hereby certify that T. C. Lee, whose name is signed to the foregoing conveyance and is known to me, acknowledged before me on this day that being informed of the contents of this conveyance, he executed the same voluntarily on the day the same bears date.
