Found With Top of His Head Blown Off
DOTHAN. Jan. 6 –(AP)- Lonnie W. Beasley, 45-year-old tenant farmer was found 
dead in his home near Gordon, Houston county, today with the top of his head 
blown away by a charge from a shotgun.  A coroner’s verdict of suicide was 
rendered.
  Beasley was said to have been intoxicated last night and attacked his wife 
who is in a serious condition.  She made her way to a neighbor’s home last 
night and today an investigation resulted in the finding of Beasley’s body.
  His dog had been shot to death and evidence of an attempt to burn his 
residence was found.
