“Signs of the Times” Primitive Baptist Periodical August 1969 Issue

INFANT BUTLER (Female) – Houston Co., Ala.

	Funeral services were conducted at Goodwater Cemetery by Elder J. J. 
Collins on June 7, 1969, for the infant daughter of James R. Butler and wife of 
Dothan, Ala.  She is survived by her parents; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. 
Grady Barnes and Mr. and Mrs. John R. Butler; and her great-grandparents, Mr. 
and Mrs. W. C. Barnes; and other relatives. – J. J. Collins



Additional Comments:
Note:  Alabama Deaths and Burials Index 1881-1974 also does not show a name for 
this child who died.  It indicates the child was 2 years old – born about 1967 
and died 6-4-1969 and was the daughter of James Robert Butler and Betty Joyce 
Barnes Butler.  Since she was not named, this approximate birth date may be 
wrong, and she may have been an infant as shown in the “Signs of the Times” 
obituary.
