Fowler ==================================================================== March 1999 The Dothan Eagle, Friday, March 24, 1961 Mrs. Dovie Reynolds Hollis, 69, of Dothan Rt. 5, died unexpectedly last night about 7:30 at her home on the Enterprise Road. She was the widow of the late E. H. Hollis, long-time Brannon Stand merchant who died last August. Mrs. Hollis was a native of Dale County but had lived at Brannon Stand most of her life. She was a member of the Winslett's Chapel Methodist Church in the Jellico Community and belonged to the Jellico Home Demonstration Club. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with burial in the Pilgrim's Rest cemetery. The Rev. Davis Martin and the Rev. Chester Lentz will officiate. Ward-Wilson Brown-Service Funeral Home is in charge. The body will lie in state at the residence. Surviving are one son, Clarence Hollis; a grandson, Steadman Hollis, both of Brannon Stand; two sisters, Mrs. Espy Hollis and Miss Annie Reynolds of Newton Rt. 1, three brothers, Ben H., G. C., and W. C . Reynolds, all of Newton Rt. 1; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Jack Hollis, Hugh Hollis, Cody Hollis, Eugene Hollis, George Reynolds and Harry McEntyre.
