Fowler ==================================================================== March 1999 The Dothan Eagle, Friday, May 24, 1991 Clarence Lee, 80, of Wicksburg (Enterprise Highway), died Thursday, May 23, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Piney Grove Assembly of God cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 tonight. Mr. Lee was born October 8, 1910, in Houston County, and had lived most of his life in the Wicksburg Community. He was employed in farming and was employed by Napier Furniture Company before owning and operating Lee's Grocery until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of Piney Grove Assembly of God Church. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Lee, Marietta, Ga., and Donald Lee, Santa Fe, Texas; a daughter, Glenda Waddle, Wicksburg; a brother, Espy Lee, Jay, Fla.; a sister, Eunice Ard, Warner Robins, Ga.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. (Widower of Annie Mae Benton Lee. Who were his parents and Lee grandparents? My grandmother Fowler's maiden name was Lee. Her father was Timothy Cuthbert Lee II; however, Clarence Lee does not descend from him.)
