Fowler ==================================================================== March 1999 The Dothan Eagle, Monday, February 13, 1995 George Reynolds, 83, of 706 Ashland Drive, died Saturday, February 11, 1995 at Flowers Hospital following a brief illness. The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at the Byrd Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Orrin Barrett officiating. Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will be at the home of David Reynolds, 1503 Tonawanda Drive in Dothan. Flowers are being accepted and memorials may be made to the Winslette Chapel Cemetery Fund, care of Mr. Billy Kibler, 296 Judge Logue Road, Newton, Alabama 36352. Mr. Reynolds was born September 8, 1911, in Houston County and lived the early years of his life in the Jellico community. In 1949, he moved to Dothan, where he lived the remainder of his life. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the City of Dothan Engineering Department. He was also a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Reynolds, Dothan; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Beverlye Reynolds, Dothan; three grandchildren, Marea Hollowell, Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Brian Reynolds and Candace Reynolds, both of Dothan; two brothers, Max Reynolds, High Point, NC and Roy Reynolds, Tampa, Florida; five sisters, Sue Douglas, Hueytown, Kate Simpkins, Gulfport, MS, Helen McIntyre, Enterprise, Burnell Morris, Dothan, Ruth Driskell, Bowling Green, FL and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Freddie Paul Chapman, Joe Evans, Charlie Mingus, Joel Ridley, Billy Kibler and B. A. Douglas. (Full name: George Mancil Reynolds. Widow: Ruth Jerkins Reynolds.
