Born in Abbeville, Ala., Nov.11,1847,he moved to this county when a young man and has resided here continuously. His wife, Sally Cutchens Watson died two years ago(9-2-1835). He lived in the same house in Pansy since 1897. Surviving are three sons: E.E. Watson of Cottonwood route one, and W.J. and J.F. Watson both of route one, three daughters: Mrs. Dolly Draughn, of Cottonwood,Ala., route one, Mrs.Ida Burnham, of Gordon, and Mrs. Cordile Riley of Pansy,he had 25 grandchildren,40 great- grandchildren, and four great-great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Liberty Baptist Church this afternoon at 2:30 at Pansy, with Rev. Mr. Etheridge officiating. Burial was to follow in the church cemetery. Fellows and Forrester directing. Pallbearers: Tom Watson,Connie Watson,Earnest Culver, Teddy Watson,Edgar Parrish, and Rev. L.O. Watson. Note: His wife was Sarah (Sallie) Cutchens. Additional Comments: He was known as C.B.-short for Claiborn. He wasn't actually born until 1854.
