AND JACKSON CO., ALABAMA FAMILY BIBLE PAGES [This is a transcription of four loose bible pages found in the family bible of Horace Benton and Mary Ophelia (MORGAN) HOLDRIDGE. The borders of the loose pages do not match the HOLDRIDGE bible. The entries are all MORGANS, including John B. and Mary A. MORGAN, parents of James A. MORGAN, and all the children of James A. MORGAN and Ann E. MORGAN. These pages appear to be from the family bible of James Adkins MORGAN and Harriet Ann Elizabeth (CAVER) MORGAN; Mary Ophelia (MORGAN) HOLDRIDGE was their daughter. It looks as though Mary Ophelia came into possession of her parent's family bible or the loose record pages, and she stored them in her HOLDRIDGE family bible. I have photocopies of those four pages. The originals, along with the HOLDRIDGE family bible, are in the possession of another descendant. John Benton MORGAN, Mary Ann (NICHOLSON) MORGAN, James Adkins MORGAN, and Harriet Ann Elizabeth (CAVER) MORGAN are buried in the Langston Cemetery, Jackson Co., Alabama.
