All months are abbreviated regardless of how they appeared on the tombstones. The cemetery is located at GPS coordinates N 34 degrees, 48.108 minutes, west 85 degrees, 53.150 minutes. The cemetery is down a private road. To obtain access and permission to visit the cemetery, contact Dr. H.T. Foster, (256) 574-3509. To reach the locked access gate, turn onto Jackson County Road 592. If you are going west on US Highway 79, this road is found on the right between mile markers 150 and 151. Turn right and drive behind the white house that faces the road. The dirt road forks; take the left fork. Stop and the chain-locked entry way and open the lock. Proceed .7 miles down the dirt road. The cemetery is on the left at the top of the hill. The cemetery faces SE. The family part of the cemetery is enclosed in an iron fence. The graves are in three rows. A number of unmarked graves (probably slave graves) surround the family enclosure on all sides. There are possibly as many as 50 depressions that probably indicate graves. Some of these are marked with rocks.
