Rhea NOV 1999 Jackson County Alabama Deed Records Volume A 1834-1850 Page 215-216 Williamson Butler To Deed William Maples This indenture made sixteenth day of March eighteen hundred and thirty nine between Williamson Butler and Nancy Butler his wife of the first part and William Maples of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand paid at and before the reading and delivering of these presants by the party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and conveyed and doth by these presants grant bargain sell and convey unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Jackson State of Alabama it being the west half of the Northeast fourth of section No. 12 Township No. 5, of Range No. 4 East containing eighty acres and 36/100 together with all and singular the tenements and appertainances belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversion remainder and remainder rents issues and proffits thereof and also all the estate right title interest or demands whatsoever of themselves the said parties of the first part either in land or equity of in and to the above bargained premises and convey part and parcel thereof to have and to hold to the said party of the second part and the parties of the first part for themselves their heirs executors and administrators doth hereby warrant and will forever defend the title of the above bargained premises to William Maples his heirs and assigns free from claim or claims of all and every person or persons whomsoever; or also from the claim of the General Government.
