To any of the Judges of the State, any Justice of the Peace of said County, or 
other person legally authorized:

THESE are to authorise you, or either of you, to solemnize the rites of matrimony between

                 John A. Morgan       and      Mattie J. Gross

of said County, agreeable to the statute in such cases made and provided.  Given at the office
of the Judge of Probate of said County, this 9 day of January 1871.
