This file was contributed and copyrighted by: Paul McLaughlin ==================================================================== March 2001 Little Family Cemetery This cemetery is a large family cemetery and containing some slave graves ( located in T17S, R1E, Section 31-USCGS Leeds, Al. map). Traveling south from Leeds on Highway 119, turn right onto Mountain View Lane just after crossing the Little Cahaba River . The cemetery is about 1/4 mile off highway 119, just off Mountain View Lane, on private property. The cemetery is enclosed in a fenced area of about 1/10th of an acre. In 1940 the Jefferson County Health Dept. estimated as many as 200 graves in this cemetery which would require closer to 1/4 of an acre of ground. It looks as if some of the unmarked graves may be outside the fenced area. There are many field stone marked and unmarked sunken graves .
