Rose Ware (James Rose Ware) Property: Lots 3 and 4 Block 277 Bessemer – by Bessemer Land and Improvement Co. Rectangle fronting 50ft on 20th St. and extending back 120 ft to right of way of Birmingham Mineral Railroad. Also 40 ac. near Hawkins Spring. Interrogatories by someone Nail, and by JAMES OWEN, who said he was BROTHER OF MALINDA WARE ================================================================== Additional Comments: About Samuel Morton Ware: In his mother's estate papers was a receipt for school clothes for J. Morton Ware that were paid from the estate, but his name is shown as Samuel Morton elsewhere. ‘S’ was mistaken for ‘J’ sometimes. His nickname was 'Mort.' About James Rose Ware: being a guy named Rose caused confusion a lot, as shown by the clerk, on uncle Zadoc's estate papers, writing that Rose received $4.45 as HER distributive share."
