J. Planche, a non-resident living near or in Covington LA Fred Zoni W. D. Settle R. E. McWhorter Chalres Perolio Noemi Laborde, living in LA, a relative of A. J. Planche Application for Writ of Attachment - 1909 Judge Benners Clerk Altman Eliza Yarbrough’s husband was a partner with the men listed above. The partnership dissolved, Yarbrough died intestate on 25 Jan 1907, and claims against the partnership were paid only from funds from Yarbrough’s estate, even though all men were jointly responsible. When Eliza Yarbrough, as administratrix of the estate of Frederick E. Kraft, tried to get reimbursement from the others, she found all were insolvent except A. J. Planche. He owned land in Ensley, even though he was now living in Louisiana. She wanted the land sold to pay part of what was owed. A. J. Planche tried to get around this by quickly transferring ownership of the land to Noemi Laborde, aunt to either him or his wife. Eliza filed for a Writ of Attachment on the grounds of non-residency. She was granted the Writ. There was nothing more in the file to show what became of this case. Additional Comments: Notes: Wife of A. J. Planche was either Christia or Christina. M. J. Donlan was shown as one of the sureties, along with Eliza Yarbrough File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/al/jefferson/court/yarbroug199gwl.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/alfiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
