All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/al/alfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Lanelle Hanke lhbham@yahoo.com October 21, 2005, 4:31 pm Written: September 15, 1843 Recorded: September 1843 (In Volume 9 page 5 - Jefferson County Alabama Deed Book) "This Indenture made this 15th day of September A.D. 1843 between Nancy Dickinson of the County of Jefferson and State of Alabama of the first part, and James Dickinson of the County of Pontotoc and State of Mississippi of the second part: Witnesseth: the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred Dollars to her in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and conveyed, and doth by these presents, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever, The E 1/2 of the N.W. 1/4 of Section 25 Township 18 R 4 West Together with all and singular the tenements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and whatever of Nancy Dickinson said party of the first part either in law or Equity of in and to the above bargained premises, and every part and parcel thereof. To have and to hold to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, And the said party of the first part for herself her heirs Executors and administrators, doth hereby warrant and will forever defend the title of the above bargained premises to James Dickinson his heirs and assigns free from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whomsoever as also from the claim of the General Government. Not his wife, Nancy Ware Dickinson, surely. She was in Pontotoc County Mississippi with James.
