All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/al/alfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Lanelle Hanke lhbham@yahoo.com August 5, 2005, 7:23 pm Written: December 8, 1833 Recorded: December 18, 1833 ENGLISH to WARE This Indenture, made and entered into this ninth day of December A.D. 1833, between Alexander English Jr. of the County of Jefferson and State of Alabama of the one part, and George Ware of the other part Witnesseth, that the said Alexander English Jr. for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath and doth by these presents bargain, sell and convey unto the said George Ware, The East half of the North East quarter of Section twenty five in Township eighteen of Range four West, in the District of Tuscaloosa, containing eighty acres & 44/100 of an acre. Too have and to hold the above described Land, with the tenements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to him said Ware, his heirs & assigns forever, And the said Alex’r English Jr. for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth hereby warrant and will forever defend the title to the above described land to the said George Ware his heirs and assigns from and against the claim of himself his heirs & assigns, and all persons claiming or holding under him the said Alexander English Jr. and also against the claims of all and every person or persons whomsoever, claiming or holding by from or under the Government of the United States. In testimony whereof the said Alexander English Jr. hath hereuto set his hand and affixed his seal the date above written. Grace, Clerk of Jefferson County ) the County Court of said County, Alexander English Jr. maker of the foregoing deed who acknowledged that he signed, sealed and delivered the same to George Ware on the day and year therein mentioned.
