Tuscaloosa Land District
Written: August 25, 1847

This Indenture Made this 25th day of August, In the year of our Lord, one 
thousand eight hundred and forty seven, between Isaac W. Sadler of the County 
of Jefferson and State of Alabama of the first part and John Ware of the same 
County and State aforesaid of the second part, Witness;  That whereas the said 
party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred 
Dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath 
this [day] bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell, 
enfeoff and convey unto the said John Ware, his heirs and assigns forever, all 
that certain tract or parcel of land known and distinguished as the W ½ of the 
SE ¼ of Section ninteen Township Eighteen and Range Three West in the 
Tuscaloosa Land District, To have and to hold to the said John Ware, his heirs 
and assigns forever, together with all the rights privileges and appurtenances 
thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining.  
And the first party for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators, do 
and by these presents will forever warrant [and] defend the title from himself, 
his heirs and from all and every person or persons whomsoever.
In Testimony whereof the said first party hath hereunto set his hand [and] 
affixed his seal this the day and date above written.

Jefferson County     )   Personally appeared before me Joab Bagby Clerk of the 
County Court of said County, Isaac W. Sadler and acknonwledged that he signed, 
sealed and delivered the foregoing deed on the day and date thereof for the 
purposes therein mentioned.  Given under my hand and seal this 25th day of 
August 1847.

Additional Comments:
This land is in present-day Wenonah area of SW Birmingham AL.

The actual document uses the double s that looks like f's.
