Sharp of the County of Jefferson in the State of Alabama of the one part and George Ware of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth: That the said Edward G. Sharp for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have this day bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed and conveyed and by these presents doth bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff and convey unto the said George Ware all that certain parcel or tract of land lying and being in the county of Jefferson and State of Alabama being the West half of the South West quarter of Section nineteen of Township eighteen of Range three West in the District of Tuscaloosa and State of Alabama containing eighty one acres and eleven hundredths of an acre, to have and to hold the above described tract or half quarter of land with the tenements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said George Ware and to his heirs and assigns forever - And the said Edward G. Sharp for himself and his heirs executors and administrators doth warrant and will forever defend the title to the above described and hereby granted premises unto the said George Ware and to his heirs and assigns from and against himself his heirs and assigns, and all and every person or persons claiming or holding under him the said Edward G. Sharp and heirs and assigns – and also against the lawful title, claim or demand of all and every person or persons whomsoever claiming or holding by form or under the government of the United States. In testimony whereof the said Edward G. Sharp hath hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written. Signed sealed and delivered Edward G. Sharp {Seal} in the presence of her L. H. McCollum Lettice X Sharp {Seal} Thomas Calley mark James Thompson The State of Alabama – Jefferson County, personally appeared before me James Thompson, Esquire Clerk of the County Court for said county the within named Edward G. Sharp and Lettice his wife, who acknowledged that they severally signed sealed and delivered the said foregoing deed on the day and year therein mentioned to the aforesaid George Ware. And the said Lettice being by me examined apart from her said husband acknowledged that she signed, sealed, and delivered the said deed on the day and year therein mentioned to the aforesaid George Ware as her free and voluntary act and deed, without any fear, threat, or compulsion of her husband. Given under my hand and seal this fourteenth day of November A.D. one thousand eight hundred and twenty five.
