Civil War Record
He was born 15 Dec 1839 in Blount County, his family moved to Jefferson County 
around 1842. Civil War enlistment date of 12 Oct 1863 in Elyton, Alabama by 
Captain Gantt as a Private.  Muster Roll dated 31 Dec 1863 by T. K. Truss.  He 
was honorable discharged in 1865.  Died on 5 Dec 1902 in Arkansas.
