Distinguished Service Cross Citation
   Fred Rogers, sergeant, Company D, 167th Infantry. For extraordinary heroism
in action northeast of Chateau-Thierry, at Croix Rouge Farm, July 26, 1918.
After being wounded in the head he continued his advance on the enemy with his
platoon until more severely wounded. He died as a result of his injuries.
