“BLACK – Mrs. Mary Ann Black, age 94, of Adamsville, Ala., passed away Saturday p.m.  Survived by 1 son, Henry Black, of Adamsville; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ethel Johnson, of Adamsville; Mrs. Marie Godfrey, of Fairfield; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 brother, R. M. Johnson, of B’ham. Funeral services Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Union Grove Church, interment adjoining cemetery.  The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until time of service.  Bell directing.”
