“BLACK – D. M. Black, age 68, Adamsville, Ala., passed away Monday night at a local infirmary.  Survived by the widow, MRs. Dovie Young Black; 4 daughters, Mrs. L. A. Fikes, Mrs. G. D. Furman, Miss Marjorie Black and Miss Selma Ruth Black; 2 grandchildren, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.  Funeral services from Bell’s Chapel Wednesday 3 p.m., Rev. W. W. Lovett officiating, interment Midway Cemetery, Bell directing.  The nephews will act as pallbearers.  The body will lie in state at Bell’s Chapel from 2 p.m. Wednesday until time of funeral.”
