King, Emma J., age 85 of 119 Wickstead Rd. Hueytown, passed away Friday a.m. at 
the residence. Survived by 2 daughters, Mrs Pauline Kirkpatrick, of Hueytown, 
Mrs Mildred Lyle of Childersburg; 16 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren. 
Funeral Service Sunday, 2:30pm from Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, the Rev. 
Judson Jones officiating, interment adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in 
state at the church from 1:30 until time of service. Brown-Service Bessemer 
directing.

Additional Comments:
Emma was the daughter of David N. Brakefield b. 1846 Fayette Co., TN, died 1923 
Ouachita Parish, LA. and Harriet Pauline Pledger Brakefield b. 1849 Shelby Co., 
AL, and died bet 1887 - 1900 in AR or LA.
Emma married John M. King b.1872 Monroe Co., AR, died 1921 Monroe Co., AR.
