H.O. Coshatt officiating. Burial in the adjoining church cemetery, Brown- Service directing. In retirement for quite some time, he was last employed as a labor foreman at a TCI lime quarry, near Trussville. He was a Mason and a member of the Odd Fellows. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Meek Hathcock and Mrs Florence Lees, both of Birmingham; three sons, Joe Massey, of Trussville, Bill Massey, of Bessemer, and Lester Massey, of Argo; 32 grandchildren,34 great-grandchildren and two gggrandchildren.Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Additional Comments: married to Mary McAvoy since 1891 having had 8 children. It appears he was born in Jefferson county and lived in the Trussville area all his adult life.
