Mrs Arsular Jane Owen of Leonard, 101, passed away Tuesday in Medical Plaza 
Hospital in Sherman. 
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Taylor Funeral Chapel. Rev 
Randy McBroom will officiate and burial will be in Valley Creek Cemetery.
Mrs Owen was born in Leeds, Ala., a daughter of Mr and Mrs Clayton O'Barr, and 
married Rufus Harvey Owen on Jan. 19, 1908, in Leeds.
She was a member of Valley Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Arleen Owen of Leonard, Mrs Loese Pace of Allen, 
Living Chaisson of Galveston and Mrs Jennie Mae of El Paso; sons, Luther Owen 
of Valley Creek and Eugene Owen of Alba; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-
grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. One son, Grady Owen, preceded 
her in death May 10, 1986.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Taylor Funeral Home directing.

in death by her husband Rufus Harvey Owen b. 1/20/1880 Jeff Co., AL, d.
