The Birmingham News
Mrs. Dora K. Payne, Helena, who died Friday, was a native of Jefferson County
and lived most of her life in Shelby County.  Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday
at the Cedar Grove Independent Bible Church in Shelby County with burial in
Nabors Cemetery, Valley Chapel directing.  Survivors include four daughters,
Mrs. William Cone, Birmingham, Mrs. Hiram Davis, Montgomery, Mrs. Steve Jones,
Tampa, Fla, and Mrs. Warren Kent, Helena, and a sister, Mrs. Floyd Mitchell,
Pomona, Calif. 

Additional Comments:
She was preceded in death by her husbands Lucien Knowles (1907) and James Arch
Payne (1970).
