Earl retired from ACIPCO with 32 years of dedicated service. He honorably served our country with the 31st Signal Company, Army. Earl was an avid ALABAMA fan who enjoyed Nascar racing and his wood working projects. Funeral Services will be held at Messmer-Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 11a.m. with burial in Warrior Cemetery. Bro. Mark Cato officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 26, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Messmer-Goodwin Funeral Home. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Myrta Russell; son, Kory Russell; brothers, Edward Russell, Gene Russell and Howard Russell. Mr. Russell is survived by his sons, Kerry E. Russell and Barry Kevin and wife, Cheryl Russell; daughters, Karen L. and husband, Phillip Heard, M. Sharon Russell and Kathy Brogden; sister, Nola Parks; brother, Dick and wife, Margaret Russell; three granddaughters, Dawn Brogden, Brittany Russell and Lauren Russell; two grandsons, Dallas Russell and Jason Russell; one great grandchild, Tyler Kirby and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other loving family members and friends. Earl also leaves behind his loving companion and caregiver, Frances Collar and Earl's other girls that he loved like his own, Vickie Ferguson and MaireJo Ballard. Earl will be deeply missed by the ones who knew and loved him very much in the Warrior community.
