WILLIAMS Jacksonville---Fred A. Williams, 66, of Jacksonville Route 2, died in a Birmingham hospital yesterday morning after a short illness. Mr. Williams was a contractor and resided in the Williams School community. He was a member of Ohatchee Baptist Church No. 2 and the Masonic Lodge. He was the son of the late pioneer Adolphus Williams. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Ohatchee Baptist Church No. 2, with the Revs. Floyd McLeod, Otis Green and Morris Freeman officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Roebuck Funeral Home of Jacksonville in charge. Active pallbearers will be Hollis Welch, Morris Green, James Green, Clifford Bonds, Herman Ponder and Dr. Harold Boozer. Honorary pallbearers will be Earnest Boozer, Ed Welch, Raymond Boozer, Zeb Johnston, and William Norton, Dewey Boozer, Roy Green, Hubert Bonds, Henry Whittle amd M.A. Clements. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dora Johnston Williams; four daughters, Mrs. W.C. Norton, Gadsden, Mrs. W.L. Smith, Daingerfield, Texas; Mrs. J.R. Freeman, Anniston, and Mrs. D.C. Ward, Jr., St. Louis, Mo.; a son, J.F. Williams, Rantoul, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. R.D. Graves, Fyffe; and 10 grandchildren.
