Birmingham Daily News, 10 Aug 1892
"The Oldest Woman in Jefferson county died yesterday - Mrs. Jennie Wood was 
107 eyars old. News comes from Linn's Crossing this county, of the death 
yesterday morning at this place of Mrs. Jermie Wood age 107 years.  She was 
the oldest woman in Jefferson County.
Her descendant's run down four generations.  She was an extrodinary old lady, 
keeping her mental activity to the last.  She was widely known and respected 
throughout the county."
