His first wife's name was Jane H., but we don't know her last name.  The only 
source for her so far is the 1880 census.  His second wife's name was Carnelia 
Ann "Carrie" Baker (but her step-grandson, Lonnie Mize, always said her name 
was Carrie Sparks).  Lucius' parents were Elijah Hocutt and 
Elizabeth "Betsy".  He lived in Tuscaloosa, Fayette, and Jefferson counties.  
Most of his years as a practicing physician were in Fayette Co.
