Additional Comments:
Martha Frances Robinson married first James A. Shelby in Lowndes County, AL on 
November 10, 1858.  Hed died July 1, 1862 in service to the CSA during the 
Civil War.  A stone for him is in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Lowndes County, 
though it is not know if he was really buried there.  Martha then married 
William Henry Hunter on April 2, 1873 in Lowndes County.  He was a Major in the 
12th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry during the Civil War and a participant in the 
convention to create Alabams's new constitution after the War.  Martha had no 
children by either husband.
