At the time of the divorce in September of 1907, she would have been around 20. Her mother was Mary Reese, her sister was Dora Graham. A description of those involved was given by Mary Reese in her deposition: Eugenia was "bright in color ... mighty near white ... red headed and curly hair." Dora was "brown skinned." Mary called herself "light brown," and said Eugenia's father was a "light mulatto." Mary testified on the side of Will Blake. Horace Bell was named as the 'other man' in Eugenia's life, and was referred to by Mary Reese as "a darky." Additional Comments: Note: Information obtained while cleaning and indexing loose records.
