ALSO – SAME ISSUE DIED: On Friday the 6th last, MARTIN LAWRENCE, at his home six miles south-west of town, after a long and painful illness. “Uncle” MARTIN was one of Lamar’s oldest and best known citizens, and was a citizen of Vernon in its earlier days. His death, though not unexpected, is greatly deplored.
