Lamar News - Jan 14, 1886
Died of pneumonia Wednesday night, Mr. BEN SMITH, seven or eight miles west of 
this place.  The deceased received a severe wound during the war, which was 
thought to have caused his death.

Additional Comments:
I'm not sure which Wednesday night this was refering to.  It could be Jan 6 or 
Jan 13, 1886.
