The Vernon Clipper, Nov. 21, 1879
On Friday, the 14th inst, as JOSEPH WEBB, of Pine Spring Beat was on his way 
home from Aberdeen, his team took fright, ran away from the wagon and killed 
him almost instantly. He was a good citizen, and leaves a wife and children to 
mourn his death.
