  1855   THOMAS YOUNG and FRANCES YOUNG, his wife to JAMES L. HOLLAND
WARRANTY DEED      Dated:  November 15, 1855    Acknowledged:   November 15, 
1855 by grantors in joint general code form before W.T. Hawkins, P. Judge for 
Lauderdale Co. Alabama     Filed:  Nov. 15, 1855       Recorded:   Vol. 15, 
pages 435-36.
Consideration:   Three Thousand dollars to the in hand paid at or before the 
signing and delivery of these presents by the said JAMES L. HOLLAND 
Conveys:   To the said JAS HOLLAND of the second part his heirs forever one 
certain tract of land lying and situated in the county of Lauderdale and the 
state of Alabama known as S1/2 of Section 17 containing 319.51/100 acres and 
S.E, 1/3 of N.E. 1/4 of Section 17 containing 39.94/100 acres.  Also 20 acres 
more or less in the N.E. 1/4 Section 17 running North 11 chains & 45 links to a 
stake thence North 88 deg. West 4 chains 58 links to a hickory marked five & 
aft thence North 83 deg. West 12 chains & 33 links to a stake on Little Cypress 
Cree, thence with the meanders of the East bank of said creek down until it 
intersects the line dividing Section 17; thence due east to the beginning and 
contains 20 acres more or less all in T 2  R 11 West  the entire tract contains 
by survey 379 44/100 acres.

I have additional information on this land beginning in 1824 when part of it 
was granted to Amos Wilkes from the United States of America.
