 Funeral services for Miss Hattie Joiner, age 62, of Anderson, route 1, who 
died December 26 at her home, following a 16 year illness, were held Tuesday 
afternoon from Bluewater Primitive Baptist church by Rev. Hollis Kitchen of 
Town Creek. Burial was in the adjoinig cemetery.
 Miss Joiner was a native and a lifelong resident of Lauderdale county and had 
lived in the Anderson community most of her life. She is survived by three 
sisters, Miss Annie Mae Joiner, Miss Bessie Joiner and Miss Alice Joiner, all 
of Anderson, route 1; five brothers, Willie and Hollis Joiner, both of 
Lexington; Henry, Luther and Raymond Joiner, all of Anderson; a niece, Mrs. 
Verta Mae Combs of Cleveland, Ohio, and other relatives.
