John E. Moore Judge of the fourth Judicial Circuit holding Court in the town of Moulton in and for the County of Lawrence, Ala. Henry A McGhee Administrator of the Estate of George W. Crittenden deceased By Petition to sell land The Heirs of George W. Crittenden deceased This day came the plaintiff as administrator as aforesaid and filed his petition setting forth that he has regularly qualified as the administrator of said decedent by the Orphans Court of said county on the ___day of ----- and gave bond as by statute required, that said George W. Crittenden deceased seized and possessed of the following real estate, to wit, Lot Numbered 123 one hundred and twenty three and the north half of lot numbered 124 one hundred and twenty four, the south half of lot numbered twenty nine 29 and lot numbered 30 thirty, according to the plot of the towns of Courtland in which town said real estate lies and being in the county and state aforesaid. Petitioner further shows that said George W. Crittenden left living the following named childrens, to wit, Sebastian H. Crittenden who is over the age of twenty one years, who resides in Macon in the state of Georgia, and Goin I. Crittenden who resides in Lawrence County Alabama and who is a minor under the age of twenty one years. Petitioner further states that a sale of said real estate is necessary for a division thereof between the aforementioned heirs and devines of said decedent, and that ____ sale of the same is necessary for the payment of the just debts due by the aid George W. Crittenden at the time of his death and prays that a decree by rendered by your Honor authorizing him to expose to sale said real estate. It is therefore ordered that William H. Salmon be appointed Guardian of Goin W. Crittenden to guard his interest on the final heaving of said Petition who accepted the trust thus confered upon him, and that publication be made in the Moulton Democrat a newspaper published in the town of Moulton as to Sebastian W. Crittenden requiring him to appear before the Judge of the circuit Court at Circuit Court to be holders of said county at the at the Court House in the town of Moulton on the third Monday in September next and show cause if any he has or can why the prayes of the Petitioner should not be granted. On the application of Henry A. McGhee administrator of the state of George W. Crittenden deceased: it is ordered by the court that he be authorized to sell at public vendue for cash in hand at the door of the court house in the town of Moulton after having first given notice thereof the slaves belonging to said decedent to wit a Negro Woman named Sally about 35 or 40 years old. Liza about 12 years old. Sarah about 9 years old and Elinor about 8 years old and that he make report of his proceedings to the clerk of this court within two months thereafter.
