Witnesseth, for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I bear unto the said party of the second the younger, and also for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to me in hand paid by the party of the second part receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given, aliened, enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do [several illegible words] assigns the following tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Lawrence and State of Alabama To wit the West 1/2 of the South West 1/2 of Section No. 33 of the Township No. 5 of Range No. 9 West with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold unto the parties of the second part, and to their heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof the party of the first part have hereunto set her hand and seal the day and date above written. Keziah Berryman (seal) The State of Alabama Lawrence County This day personally appeared before me Elijah S. Masterson, an acting Justice of the Peace in and for sd. County Keziah Berryman whose signature is assigned to the within deed and acknowledged that she signed sealed and delivered the same for the purposes therein [illegible word]. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal and certify the same for recording this 22nd day of September 1847.
